Hearts and Horses Program

For many years Walt Clark Middle School has had the extraordinary opportunity to form an alliance with Hearts and Horses Therapeutic Riding Center. One of their offerings focuses on and is an integral part of supporting at- risk students in our community. Changing Leads provides an experiential equine centered learning program designed to promote transferable skills to build personal, school, family and community relationships.  These students find friendship, develop trust, and form a deep connection when partnered with a horse.  Horses and counselors are tailored to suit each student’s specific needs.  Students are referred by teachers, counselors, friends, and physicians.
