A Note from Principal Lain

Dear Walt Clark Families,

As we move into the final stretch of the school year, I want to take a moment to recognize the incredible work our students have done so far. Their dedication to learning, perseverance in the face of challenges, and commitment to personal growth have been truly inspiring. We are so proud of their hard work!

With CMAS testing approaching, this is an opportunity for our students to showcase everything they’ve learned. This is their moment to push themselves, challenge their minds, and set new records for achievement. I have no doubt that each and every one of them has the ability to perform at their very best.

Success isn’t just about talent—it’s about effort, preparation, and belief in oneself. We encourage students to stay focused in class, ask questions, study with intention, and take advantage of every opportunity to sharpen their skills. Our teachers, staff, and I are here to support them every step of the way.

Families, your support is invaluable. Encouraging a positive mindset, ensuring your student gets plenty of rest, and reinforcing good study habits can make all the difference. Together, we can help our students reach their highest potential.

Let’s show everyone what Walt Clark Middle School can achieve. Let’s break records. Let’s finish strong. Let’s make this our best year yet!

Go Cougars!

Sincerely,
Mrs. Lain
Principal, Walt Clark Middle School

Congratulations Christine Tabor, our April nominated Cougar Champion!

The following messages were submitted by parents when nominating Christine:

Ms. Tabor goes above and beyond for my son. She exemplifies all aspects of a dedicated educator. She has continued to encourage, support and most importantly help my son love Math again. She is thorough in her delivery of Math instruction. My son is more confident in his ability and he feels safe with her to make mistakes. She reads his body emotions very well and responds most appropriately to assist him in feeling confident!!! Truly she is We Are Cougars!

Ms. Tabor's humor and ability to engage with her students to recognize them as individuals is what makes my son enjoy her class every day. Creating this relationship with students helps lower anxiety and can make the classroom a fun place to be while learning. Thank you.

Ms. Tabor has always been a champion for my sons. She meets each student where they are at and makes them feel like an important part of her class!

Thank you Ms. Tabor for all that you do at Walt Clark!

Congratulations Chad Custer , our March nominated Cougar Champion!

Middle School Bell Schedule for Families/Students

Dear Parents and Guardians:

A group of administrators and teachers have collaborated to develop a common bell schedule for all middle schools.

Why This Matters

Equity and Consistency for Students and Staff
A unified bell schedule ensures that all students across the district have equal access to instructional time, resources, and extracurricular opportunities. It also provides consistency for staff, particularly those who collaborate across multiple schools.

We value your input on the schedules we’ve developed. Please take a moment to review them and share your feedback by Friday, March 10 using the survey linked below:
