Skilled and Technical Sciences Pathway

  • Geometry in Construction - Students learn basic carpentry and design skills while applying real world mathematical concepts.  Students will have the opportunity to work with various hand tools and use the design cycle to create products that will benefit the community.

  • Electric Vehicles - Students are challenged to work as a team designing and creating their own remote-control car or truck.  Using the design cycle, they engineer a functional RC car/truck and have a class wide competition.  Students will also help design and build Walt Clark’s very own remote-control race track.

  • Conservation/Renewable Energy - Students investigate a variety of environmental topics and design implementation ideas for school and home. Topics include air quality, climate change, recycling and composting, and water quality.
